We are currently in the depth of darkness; the shortest days of the year.

In the spirit of creating light (and looking forward to Chanukah, where we bring the ultimate light into our homes), here are ways to incorporate glitter and shine into your wardrobe - I hope this will “spark” your desire to dress de”light”fully!

In the same vein as my “Levels of Leopard” post, I take a trend (in this case, wearing sparkle) and illustrate how it can be worn in a small dose or a healthy helping!

A light twinkle is present on this beautiful starry sweater and platinum belt. As you see, even sparkle can be casual when used in small amounts.

In this outfit, sequined shell and shiny shoes make a glamorous starting point. A metallic smoky eye and feminine pleated skirt add to the fab - but the leather jacket really completes the look. In modern fashion, the key is to temper the ultra-girly (heels and sparkle) with something more masculine (the leather).

This is a super-glittery look that is formal and ultra-luxe. The midnight blue plays off the sparkly gold for a sophisticated yet totally fun look. Although there is a lot of glitter in this outfit, I stayed away from overdosing by keeping the shoes simple.
